MEET THE THERAPIST

Hi, I’m Michelle.

I am a Psychotherapist, Christian Counselor, and Life Coach, and the founder of Beach Counseling & Wellness Group of SC, located near Market Common in Myrtle Beach. BCWG was intentionally created as a boutique mental health practice serving a limited number of clients who value depth, continuity, and a therapeutic relationship that is steady—not rushed or transactional. My work is clinically grounded, thoughtfully structured, and—when desired—integrates faith as a meaningful source of strength and resilience.

My Approach

Many of the individuals I work with are high-functioning, capable, and deeply self-aware—but internally exhausted. They are often used to being “the strong one” for others, while quietly carrying pressure, anxiety, or a sense of never quite feeling settled. Some come with questions about ADHD, while others simply know something feels off beneath the surface. My work focuses on helping you understand what’s happening not just cognitively, but within your body and emotional patterns as well. Through my Grace-Based Somatic Approach (Grasoma Method™), we move beyond surface-level coping to create meaningful, lasting change—so you can experience greater clarity, internal alignment, and a more sustainable way of living.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach here. Each treatment plan is intentional, structured, and responsive to the individual sitting in front of me. As someone who lives with ADHD and brings over 25 years of experience in corporate America, I understand firsthand how high-demand, overstimulated environments can impact the mind, body, and spirit. This lived perspective informs my holistic and integrative approach to care.

Creator of The Grasoma Method™— A Grace-Based Somatic Approach

— Where Hope Begins —

“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified.” Isaiah 61:3 (KJV)

Our office

WHY I PRACTICE THIS WAY

Over time, I have come to believe that meaningful therapeutic work requires more than good intentions or technical skill alone. It requires presence, discernment, and the freedom to practice in a way that honors both the client and the clinician.

I view this work as both a profession and a calling. That perspective shapes how I practice—with intention rather than urgency, depth rather than volume, and respect for the trust clients place in the therapeutic relationship. I intentionally maintain a limited caseload so that care can remain personal, thoughtful, and responsive, rather than rushed or transactional.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based psychotherapy and informed by years of education, advanced training, and ongoing study. It is also reflected in what I describe as The Grasoma Method™—a grace-based, somatically informed approach that integrates emotional insight, nervous system awareness, and relational depth. This is not a rigid model, but a way of working that allows therapy to be both clinically sound and deeply attuned to the whole person.

I believe people heal best when they feel seen, understood, and supported—not managed or processed. This belief has led me to build a boutique, concierge-style practice that prioritizes continuity of care, accessibility when clinically appropriate, and a strong therapeutic alliance.

I do not strive to be everything to everyone. Instead, I seek to offer careful, ethical, and relational care to those who are looking for a therapeutic experience that values depth, integrity, and intentionality.

For many years, I knew the kind of work I wanted to offer—depth-oriented, thoughtful, and grounded in both the mind and the body.

What has emerged through my practice, my writing, and the development of The Grasoma Method™ is something that finally feels aligned.

This is the work I feel called to do, and the way I feel called to do it. This finally reflects me...

If this approach—and The Grasoma Method™—resonates with you, I invite you to reach out to explore whether working together may be a good fit.
